CBS All Access Will Be Replaced By Paramount+ This March

CBS All Access, the streaming app that gives subscribers access to CBS’ extensive library will be ending this March. Have no fear, Paramount+ from ViacomCBS will be replacing it, giving subscribers a lot more content by combining the two’s libraries. The news was announced back in September of 2020, but the date was not revealed, until now. The change will occur on March 4, 2021. More details about Paramount+ will be revealed on February 24th by ViacomCBS including a first look at the app, which already has a live website. In hopes of attracting more subscribers, Paramount+ will be introducing a number of new originals including the 10-episode miniseries “The Offer”, about the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather, a new iteration of MTV’s Behind The Music, and a revival of The Game. Film Documentary ‘Horror Noir’ Is Coming To Blu-Ray!

RLJE has snagged the rights to Shudder’s Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror and will be releasing it on Blu-ray and DVD next month. Based on the acclaimed book of the same name by Dr. Robin R. Means Coleman, Horror Noire takes a critical look at a century of genre films that by turns utilized, caricatured, exploited, sidelined, and embraced both black filmmakers and black audiences. The film also explores how black voices in front of and behind the camera, shaped and impacted the genre. Remakes Headed Your Way In 2021

The trend of remakes and reboots continues. Here are some of the remakes headed your way in 2021. Candyman Remake/Sequel Candyman returns to the neighborhood where the legend began, where Cabrini-Green housing projects once stood. We all know not to say the legend’s name five times, but the characters in the movie say it anyway and bring down Candyman’s wrath upon themselves. Tony Todd Stars In The Sci-fi Thriller ‘Destination Marfa’

Los Angeles based Fairway Film Alliance has acquired worldwide rights to the surrealist science-fiction title Destination Marfa. The film follows four lifelong friends who decide to veer off the road and venture into a small West Texas town known as Marfa, where they encounter mysterious lights as the line between reality and fantasy becomes increasingly blurred. Tony Todd (Candyman) and Stelio Savante (Infidel) play opposing forces in the town of Marfa. Brittany Jo Alvarado, Kyle Colton, Marcus Jahn, Tracy Perez, Richard Riehle, Lisa Roumain, Neil Sandilands, and Scot Scurlock co-star. Producers include Stelio Savante and Starla Christian. The film is the passion project of writer-director-executive producer Andy Stapp and was shot on location throughout Texas. Todd is also starring in Jordan Peele’s upcoming movie Candyman and is represented by Defining Artists and Jeff Goldberg Management. ‘The Addams Family’ Return Next Year For A New Sequel

Lovecraft’s uniquely terrifying world collides with the Jim Crow era south in the new trailer for HBO’s new series “Lovecraft Country.” Based on the novel Matt Ruff, the first season takes viewers on a road trip through the 1950s, where threats of both racism and supernatural terrors loom. In the series, Atticus Black, his friend Letitia, and his uncle George embark on a road to try to find his missing father. Instead, Atticus is caught in a fight for survival and must overcome the racist terrors of America and terrifying monsters that could have been ripped from the pages of an H.P.
