The Release Of Amityville: The Awakening Rescheduled For 2017

Earlier today news came via Dread Central that the Weinstein Co. has cancelled the release of Amityville: The Awakening. The film was scheduled for release on April 1st, 2016, but now won’t make into theaters until January 6th, 2017. Amityville: The Awakening has already been delayed, renamed, and recut several times. It was originally scheduled for release back in September of 2014. Supposedly, the reason for the date change, this time, is because the studio does not want to go up against Batman v. Superman in theaters. Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Bella Thorne (Blended), Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon a Time), Cameron Monaghan (Shameless), Thomas Mann (Project X) and Robo Cop’s Kurtwood Smith star in Amityville: The Awakening, written and directed by Franck Khalfoun (Maniac) with Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions serving as producer for the film. The film follows Joan (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a single Mother, and her three children, one who is very ill. They have relocated

Metal And Mayhem – Deathgasm 2: Goremegeddon Enters Early Production

Back in December we learned that a sequel was in the works for Deathgasm, one of 2015’s best and most creative horror films. We reported then that writer-director Jason Lei Howden posted a photo on Instagram of the finished script, stating that gorehounds will be in for a big treat. “There is literally more gore in the first ten minutes than the entire first #deathgasm.” Howden continued “If you kinda liked the first, this will make your head implode. If you thought the first Deathgasm was puerile, juvenille and dumb Goremageddon will melt your face off and force you to barricade yourself inside, safe with some Terrance Malik of Coldplay.” Now, Deathgasm: Goremegeddon has moved into the early stages of production. We can expect Goremegeddon to rock theaters sometime in 2017. For those of you who haven’t seen this heavy metal, head-splitting gore fest, I recommend that you do so immediately. The film follows a band who have unwittingly unleashed

Slimer Is Back In The First Ghostbusters Trailer

The Ghostbusters, led by Melissa McCarthy’s character, learn that someone is amplifying the city’s paranormal entities. Spirits of criminals from New York’s history are back and it’s up to the Ghostbusters to save the city. The ghosts are a bit different than the ones in the 1984 version.
