Legendary actor Pierce Brosnan is gearing up for a thrilling new role: a werewolf hunter in his son Sean Brosnan‘s film Wolfland. This exciting project promises to be a fresh take on the classic monster movie trope.

Sean Brosnan, the film’s co-writer alongside Matt D’Elia, takes the helm for Wolfland. The film follows a young boy’s desperate quest to save his sister from a vicious werewolf attack. His journey leads him to Devlin, a legendary werewolf hunter played by Pierce Brosnan. Together, this unlikely duo delves into a world of blood and carnage as they hunt down the monstrous creature.

Wolfland boasts the impressive special effects work of Imaginarium Studios, renowned for its groundbreaking creature design and effects, like in Planet of the Apes and The Lord of the Rings. With their expertise, audiences can expect truly terrifying and awe-inspiring werewolf visuals.

The filmmaker has high aspirations for Wolfland. Sean Brosnan himself has expressed his desire to redefine the werewolf subgenre. He even mentions aiming to rival the iconic transformation sequences from the genre-defining classic, An American Werewolf in London.

Pierce Brosnan is best known for playing 007 in multiple James Bond franchise films and has a long history of starring in great movies, like Mama Mia!, Black Adam, and series like “The Son.”

Produced by Marcus Warren and Christian Moore, Wolfland will begin shooting later this year in the U.K. and has all the makings of a must-see horror film. Whether it will live up to the ambitious goal of rivaling An American Werewolf in London remains to be seen. One thing’s for sure: Wolfland is a project to watch. We’ll update you every chance we get. Odds are, we should see it premiere in late 2025. The Exchange is handling worldwide sales.

Wolfland is just one of the many werewolf movies headed your way. Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man reboot is set to debut in 2025. Gregory Lamberson is working on Frenzy Moon. And there’s also Byte and Blackout.
