The Haunting History of The Queen Mary
The Queen Mary’s remarkable past adds another layer to the intrigue. From 1936 to 1967, it was the preferred transatlantic voyage for celebrities, royals, and dignitaries. During World War II, the ship was retrofitted for military service, earning the nickname “The Grey Ghost” due to its camouflage paint scheme. It now stands forever docked and encased in concrete at Long Beach, California, where it has been used for many years as a luxury hotel and tourist attraction. The ship has a lengthy history of visitors reporting seeing ghosts and visions in its rooms and on its decks, making it the perfect setting for events and paranormal experiences, as well as the backdrop for films such as The Haunting of Queen Mary.
