Black Mandala presents a terrifying new true story-inspired horror thriller, Lake Jesup: Bonecrusher’s Revenge, set in the heart of Florida’s most infamous body of water.

In 2003, Lake Jesup became the stage for a real-life horror story. A monstrous alligator known as “Bonecrusher” escaped from captivity and began a reign of terror. As the body count rose, a desperate hunt ensued to stop the creature.

In the movie, Bubba Coggins, a former professional gator wrangler and ex-convict, is offered a chance at redemption: to hunt down and kill Bonecrusher. Driven by a desire to clear his name and provide for his family, Bubba embarks on a dangerous mission that pushes him to his limits.

Michael Houston King wrote and directed the film, which stars Sarah Voigt, Derek Russo, Danny Nucci, Kent Shocknek, Jessie Camacho, and Nick Schroeder. Eric Fleming and Mario Xavier produced it.

The film’s real-life setting is terrifying. Lake Jesup is home to over 13,000 hungry gators, of which an estimated 194 are longer than 9 feet. An average of 400 gators per square mile makes it the most gator-populated area in the US. Over the past centuries, many people have come too close to the water’s edge, losing lives and limbs. It is definitely not a place you want to take a cool dip on a hot day.

Lake Jesup: Bonecrusher’s Revenge is a thrilling exploration of man versus nature. It is a battle between a determined hunter and a prehistoric predator. The film will debut at Scarefest before making its festival rounds.
