CAPCOM announced today that fans (like me) who can’t wait for their upcoming reincarnation of one of their legendary titles Resident Evil 3, will be able to experience a demo that’s coming out this week! At the end of the demo, players will get to see the new trailer for the upcoming main game. The demo titled “The Raccoon City Demo” will put players in the shoes of Jill Valentine as she works alongside Carlos trying to save civilians in the chaotic T-Virus outbreak. During the demo, players will encounter the main antagonist that’s haunted the nightmares of “Resident Evil” fans for years, Nemesis. Along with trying to survive, players are challenged to find and destroy 20 Mr. Charley bobbleheads. Later this month there will be an open beta for the upcoming 4v1 multiplayer game Resident Evil Resistance that will be open till the game’s release April 3rd. Finally some potentially good news! It’s being reported that Kojima Productions and Project Siren will be working on two “Silent Hill” titles after reports say that Hideo Kojima was approached by Sony and Konami. Project Siren is said to be working on a reboot of Silent Hill while Kojima Productions is going to get back to work on Silent Hills, the canceled title everyone was looking forward to after playing the terrifying P.T. that changed first-person horror gaming. Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus have stated that they were going to be working on another game together, Reedus for those who did not know, appeared at the end of P.T. as it showed that he was going to be a featured character in the game before the cancelation and the messy departure of Kojima from Konami. If you’re following the recent events going on around the world and you’re a gamer, you probably already wondering if the Electronic Entertainment Expo (aka E3) the largest gaming event of the year will be affected. It has been confirmed by E3 that yes, the 2020 event that was being held in L.A. is indeed CANCELED due to fears of Coronavirus that’s been hitting the West Coast hard over the last few weeks. Some in the know are asking if this is REALLY the reason it’s canceled. Just when you thought you saved the world from Nazi Zombies, Rebellion says “Nope!”. For those who purchased the Season 1 Pass or super deluxe edition of Zombie Army 4: Dead War will be enjoying additional content. For those of us that did not purchase the additional content, there is a new free Hoard Mode level titled “Undead Wood”. For season pass/super deluxe edition owners, the first level of the new “Hell Cult” campaign titled “Terror Lab” launches today. Owners will also unlock a new playable character, The American Sea Captain. New weapons are available like the PPSH submachine gun and M1 carbine rifle. Molten Lava weapon skins and the character skin of classic Boris are now available too. If players are interested in owning/unlocking some of these items they can either buy the season 1 pass OR the items/levels/characters/skins/ separately. Fans of both “Mortal Kombat” and Spawn are rejoicing as the news came that the beloved supernatural hero from hell will be duking it out with other members of the roster of Mortal Kombat 11. Spawn is the last in the Kombat Pack DLC to be released; the previous characters added to the game’s lineup of legendary fighters include Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, T-800, Sindel, and Joker who all were released to the game at different times over the past year. In the new trailer for the DLC, we see get a glimpse of Spawn’s abilities that seem to make him the most brutal character to appear in the game yet! Adding to Spawn’s awesomeness is that he is voiced by Keith David. Spawn will be coming to Mortal Kombat 11 March 17th to those who already own the Kombat Pack DLC and on March 24th to the rest of the MK11 community on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo

At one point or another, we all have seen “Based on a true story” or “Inspired by” on movie posters, book covers, and even in video games. As a result, we’re all guilty of it, we the audience immediately want to see, read, and play it because we want to experience the story, especially if its horror related! What happens afterward is a moment of either instant regret, confusion, or in some cases satisfaction without realizing we have a fishhook sticking out of our cheeks. We’ve all been there that after watching a movie “Based on a true story” we sit back thinking, “did it really happen?!” Or “come on that’s totally not how it happened!” and a lot of times… we’re in the latter…and we’re right, and it’s time to call out filmmakers, writers, and studios for misusing the terms “Based on” and “Inspired by” to hook audiences in for a disappointment! The new trailer for CBE Software’s upcoming psychological horror game Someday You’ll Return is a special treat for those looking forward to the game’s release as it focuses on Moravian folk music Moravian culture plays a big role in the upcoming game. The trailer’s song is performed by Czech singer Gabriela Vermelho who also provides her musical talent for some songs in the game itself. In Someday You’ll Return, players will play as Daniel, a father looking for his missing daughter Stela who ran away from home. Daniel’s search soon brings him to the Moravian forests, a place from his past where he swore he would never return to. The game’s setting is unique as it takes place in the Czech Republic and features references to 9th-century tales and locations. Players will experience all sorts of game mechanics such as crafting, herbalism, stealth, tracking, climbing, interacting with an in-game Smartphone, and a karmic system that will affect the game’s ending.

Fictional Games has announced the latest installment of one of their popular first-person horror games “Amnesia” with Amnesia: Rebirth. The first two “Amnesia” games and DLC, are tales of terror told in the first-person perspective where stealth and sanity are your only means of survival while solving puzzles in order to escape the terrors around you and unlocking the secrets of your own past. This time the story takes players to the unforgiving deserts of Algeria where they play as Tasi Trianon as she struggles to piece together her past while trying to avoid the terrors around her as well as within. Amnesia: Rebirth will be coming to PC and PlayStation 4 fall of 2020 and can be wishlist on STEAM right now.

The creator of HBO’s “Chernobyl” is adapting the hit post-apocalyptic video game The Last of Us for a new HBO series. Craig Mazin is teaming up with the game’s creative director Neil Druckmann for the adaptation. Neil Druckmann is without question the finest storyteller working in the video game medium, and The Last of Us is his magnum opus,” Mazin states. “Getting a chance to adapt this breathtaking work of art has been a dream of mine for years.” The first season will cover the events of the first game, which was released in 2013. It follows Joel and Ellie in the post-apocalyptic US. Joel lost his family twenty years before the game. He’s a smuggler and is given the task of getting 14-year-old Ellie to the Fireflies, a group of rebels. The game, from Naughty Dog, puts a fresh spin on the zombie genre and uses Cordyceps fungus instead of the zombie virus we see so much of. What

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the anthology series “The Terror”. The first season was based on the book of the same name by Dan Simmons that follows the doomed Franklyn Expedition that was looking for the Northwest Passage in the arctic. The story follows the crew’s attempt to survive being stuck in the ice while being hunted by a supernatural beast. The second season titled “Infamy” was an original story that took place during WWII and followed Japanese American characters dealing with the horrors of war-time racism while at the same time being haunted by a spirit ripped right out of Japanese folklore. The concept of adding horror elements occurring alongside historical events is quite intriguing and fun. At the moment there’s no word about a third season (which I hope there will be one!) but till then the question remains if the series is going to continue the historical horror anthology premise, where could the series
