The critically acclaimed horror Something In The Dirt is out today in theaters. The film is the latest title from brilliant filmmakers Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson, the creators of the critically acclaimed films The Endless and Synchronic, as well as writers for episodes from Marvel’s” Moon Knight” and the upcoming second season of “Loki.” The two also star in this film. In the film, “when neighbors John and Levi witness supernatural events in their Los Angeles apartment, they begin documenting the paranormal that could inject some fame and fortune into their wasted lives. An ever-deeper, darker rabbit hole, their friendship frays as they uncover the dangers of the phenomena, the city, and each other.” Something in the Dirt will play in select Cinemas beginning November 4, 2022, followed by its release on Digital on November 28th, and Blu-ray on December 5th, from XYZ Films, which you can pre-order now, from XYZ Films.

Focus Entertainment and Mudfish released a new trailer today for their upcoming Sci-Fi action RPG FPS Atomic Heart along with news about it’s release date and Pre-orders. Atomic Heart is a first-person game where players are in an alternate timeline where the second world war ended differently and the world is in a utopia where humans and their mechanical creations live in harmony. At least that’s what it looks like on the surface as the world is really twisted and full of rogue robots and mutants that players must deal with in order to uncover the truth as to what’s really going on. Atomic Heart will be coming out on February 21, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Shelley Duvall, whose last performance was in The Shining, is returning to horror for the first time in more than 20 years to star in The Forest Hills, from writer-director Scott Goldberg (Moirai: The Drifter). Today, the trailer has arrived, teasing a dark, disturbing, and beautifully shot film filled with horrors. The film centers on Rico, a disturbed man (Chiko Mendez) who is plagued with nightmarish visions after suffering head trauma while camping in the Catskill Mountains. The cast also includes Edward Furlong and Dee Wallace, with Duvall playing Rico’s mother. “We are huge fans of ‘The Shining’ and it’s honestly one of my favorite horror movies of all time, up there with John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’ and George A. This November, Peacock is adding a new crime thriller/drama to their Original lineup. Titled “The Calling,” the series is from David E. Kelly, the creator of “Big Little Lies.” Originally titled “The Missing,” the series is based on “The Missing File”, the first in a series of books written by Israeli crime writer Dror A. Mishani, who also serves as executive producer on the series. Jeff Wilbusch stars the main character, Avi, who approaches investigations differently than your typical detective. He uses his Jewish background and faith in humanity to understand why each person is involved in a crime. Juliana Canfield (Succession) stars alongside Wilbusch as rookie Detective Janine Harris who is ambitious. The two are very much opposites but make a good team. In season one of “The Calling” which features eight one-hour episodes, Avi and Janine take on two main cases, the first involves a missing child, and the second a potential act of terrorism at a daycare

The first teaser trailer is here for director Michael S. Rodriguez‘s latest horror Daisy, giving us a sneak peek at the horrors to come. Currently, in production, the film is described as “a trip back to 80’s horror with touches of dark comedy, scares, and a few sentimental moments. It’s like a f****’d up E.T.” by Rodriguez. Michael Wainwright, Wade Pierson, Matt Macedo, Sparkle Soojian, and Manuel Ramirez star alongside new up-and-coming actor as well as SFX artist Jaimie Krivobok who plays the titular character. Michael S. Rodriguez is known in the indie horror genre as a director, producer, writer, and actor in films such as Last American Horror Show and its sequel, as well as his work on the series “Strange Files.” We’ll let you know when we know more, including the premiere date for Daisy is announced. Lil’ Dougie (Alexander Brickel) loves two things; Satan (thanks to the eponymous video game he constantly plays which features ol’ Scratch) and his gorgeous sister Jenna (Katheryn Winnick)… and neither in a particularly healthy way. Now since Doug hearts Jenna so damn much that when she comes home from college to visit for Halloween with her brand-spankin’ new boyfriend Alex (Stephen Graham) he gets more than a little perturbed… until he meets an ominous man dressed in a grinning devil mask (Joshua Annex) arranging dead bodies as All Hallow’s Eve decorations. Naturally the little fool believes this rando psycho is the real deal come to life from his game, so he brings the murderous wine-guzzlin’, panty sniffin’, middle finger flippin’ monster home and hides him in the basement so he can kill ol’ Alex… and he does… eventually… and a whole mess of other people too! Odds are, if you’re a horror fan, you’ve seen the insane trailer for Rhys Frake-Waterfield‘s upcoming movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. The director is already continuing his assault on our beloved childhood movies (not that that is a bad thing). Not only is Waterfield working on a sequel to Blood and Honey ahead of its release, but he’s also working on a movie titled Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare. We can’t wait to see what hell he puts poor Wendy and Peter through. How is Waterfield getting around Disney? Both Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan are public domain.
