“Destination Fear” Returns With An All New Season

Paranormal explorers Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden, Tanner Wiseman, and Alex Schroeder level up their fear experiment in their darkest, most terrifying road trip yet. In an all-new season of “DESTINATION FEAR,” premiering Friday, November 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Travel Channel and streaming the same day on discovery+, the fear-chasing foursome embrace the darkness more than ever before – physically, emotionally, and psychologically – as they push the boundaries of fear and daringly spend the night inside America’s most sinister and haunted locations. After experiencing hauntings in Europe last season, the likes of which they’ve never seen at home, Dakota is now taking things to an even darker level – literally. Not only is he challenging the team with darker hauntings and locations, but he shocks them with the most disturbing experiment yet: removing flashlights from their armor and forcing them to blindly face the shadows of the night in true darkness. Movie Review: Shudder's "Raven Hollow'

Movie Review: Shudder’s “Raven Hollow’

When I found out that there was a movie, Raven’s Hollow, coming out that featured Edgar Allen Poe as the main character I was excited. I’m a big fan of Poe’s works. It has now landed on Shudder and I thought I’d give it a try. Warning, there are spoilers ahead. The movie begins with a group of West Point cadets traveling down a road. They stop when they see a man, tortured, hanging on a rack, and mortally wounded. After some debate, Poe decides that must find his people. They travel to a dying town to find the dead man’s home, only to learn of a creature (demon?) that is killing the villagers. The cadets, led by Poe, set out to discover the mystery, as well as to find and destroy the creature. There’s a decent amount of action and a ton of gore in Raven’s Hollow. But the movie’s ending ruins it all. I actually caught myself saying,

Movie Review: Hulu's "Grimcutty"

Movie Review: Hulu’s “Grimcutty”

While scrolling through Hulu’s “Huluween” section I stumbled across a movie titled Grimmcutty. The art caught my attention so I decided to give it a try. Here’s what I thought. Warning, there maybe a few spoilers. First, let me fill you in on what the movie is about. Written and directed by John Ross, Grimmcuttry centers on a teen and her little brother who must find a way to stop a monster brought to life by the hysteria of their parents. After the kids’ parents find out about Grimcutty, which they believe is a social media challenge, they go into overdrive and believe the answer is taking away the kids’ devices. The more concerned the parents get the angrier they become, which drives Grimcutty to attack. The movie speaks to two points. The first is the world’s obsession with social media challenges and how dangerous they can be, remember the Tide Pod Challenge? The second is the lack of trust
