Chloe Okuno’s chilling psychological thriller Watcher, co-written by Zach Ford, will soon be streaming exclusively Shudder. It Follows actress Maika Monroe stars alongside Karl Glusman (Love) and Burns Gorman (The Dark Knight Rises) in the film in which Julia (Maika Monroe) joins her husband (Karl Glusman) when he relocates to his family’s native Romania for a new job. Having recently abandoned her acting career, she finds herself frequently alone and unoccupied. One night, people-watching from her picture window, she spots a vague figure in an adjacent building that looks back at her. Soon after, while alone at a local movie theater, Julia’s sense of being watched intensifies, and she becomes confident she’s being followed — could it be the same unknown neighbor? Uncork’d Entertainment is set to release Alrik Bursell’s highly-anticipated sci-fi thriller The Alternate this September. Ahead of its arrival, we’ve got the new trailer. In the film, “Jake, a videographer, discovers a portal to another dimension in which he has everything he has always wanted: the perfect version of his wife, the career of his dreams, and the daughter he never had. He starts traveling back and forth between these two worlds but soon sees that his alternate is not as perfect as he seems, and perfection comes with a price.” Produced by Jeffrey Allard, the executive producer of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the film stars Ed Gonzalez Moreno, Natalia Dominguez, and Syra McCarthy. The only genre I love as much as horror is disaster movies. Maybe I just want to watch the world burn (on TV). But good disaster movies are hard to find, so when I came across the killer trailer for the Chinese-made, English Language blockbuster Shattered Earth, I got damn near giddy. In the film, “A peaceful town turns into a living hell when a devastating earthquake is triggered, causing buildings to tumble and sinkholes to open. A retired railway soldier and his son, an explosives engineer, travel deep into a cave to rescue trapped survivors. However, a second terrifying quake is just hours away, threatening to bury the whole town and everyone in it.” Trinity CineAsia presents the action-packed disaster film, Shattered Earth, coming to DVD on August 29, 2022, and 0n Digital on September 12th.

Omar Epps Starring In Exorcism Thriller ‘The Deliverance,’ Based On A True Story

Earlier this year we reported that Lee Daniels (Precious, The Butler) was working on a then untitled horror movie for Netflix. Now the title has been revealed to be The Deliverance. Omar Epps, Demi Singleton, Miss Lawrence, and Anthony B. Jenkins have now joined the cast of the film, described as an “exorcism thriller,” that already included cast members Andra Day, Glenn Close, Caleb McLaughlin, Monique, Aunjanue Ellis, and Tasha Smith. The film is “Inspired by a terrifying true story, a mother fights for her life, her faith, and the souls of her children after discovering their new home is haunted by a demonic.” Lee Daniels directs and wrote the script with David Coggeshall, Elijah Bynum, and Thomas Westfall.
