Emma Corrin Boards Robert Eggers’ ‘Nosferatu’ Remake

Robert Eggers‘, the brilliant director of The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman, is now directing a remake of the classic 1922 film Nosferatu. Today, Deadline reports that “The Crown” actress Emma Corrin has joined the cast of the film, but her role is unknown at the moment. Corrin joins already announced cast members Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Bill Skarsgard (The Lighthouse), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu), and Lily-Rose Depp (The King). “In the new reimagining, the pic is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire (Skarsgard) who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him.” Deadline states. Eggers (The Witch, The Northman) is directing from the script he penned. The 1922 film, which is based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, centers on the vampire Count Orlok, who wants to buy a house in Germany and becomes obsessed with the real-estate agent’s wife.

First Poster And Image For Werewolf Horror ‘Blackout’

Yellow Veil Pictures announced today that they had boarded world sales on Blackout, Larry Fessenden’s werewolf horror film currently in post-production. They have released the first teaser poster and image for the film that wrapped principal photography in the fall in New York’s Hudson Valley, and the film will hit the festival circuit later this year. The film follows a fine arts painter convinced he is a werewolf wreaking havoc on a small American town every full moon. It is the latest addition to Fessenden’s own Monsterverse, along with his breakout feature, the vampire-themed Independent Spirit Award-Winning feature Habit (1995), and 2019’s Frankenstein riff, Depraved. Blackout marks the second pairing of Glass Eye Pix, the New York production shingle headed by Fessenden, and Yellow Veil Pictures, having previously collaborated successfully on world sales for Fessenden’s 2019 film Depraved, which was released by IFC Midnight in the US to great acclaim.
