Robert Eggers’ ‘Nosferatu,’ Starring Bill Skarsgård, Wraps Filming

After several delays, according to a report from The Prague Reporter, one of the year’s most highly-anticipated films, Nosferatu, has finally wrapped filming in Prague. From writer-director Robert Eggers, the brilliant mind behind films such as The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman, comes the reimagination of the 1922 black-and-white film by F.W. Murnau, which, like many of his other films, will be elevated horror. “Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman in 19th-century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him.” The cast of Nosferatu will see the director reunite with some of his regular actors, Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Bill Skarsgard (The Norseman), Anya Taylor-Johnson (The Witch), and Ralph Ineson (The Witch), with Skarsgard playing the crucial role of Count Orlock (Nosferatu).
