Ol’ scientist type John (David Allen Brooks) is having one hell of a shit day. Not only has his mother Amanda (Planet of the Apes‘ Kim Hunter), a scientist as well, been in the shittiest of health, but she is screaming all manner of shit about a brother John never knew he had (not before imploring him to destroy everything pertaining to her experiments). Speaking of “experiments”, the head of the lab where John toils away, Dr. Phillip Lloyd (Rod Steiger in a baffling choice of hairpiece) knows all about the things Amanda was cooking up in that lab of hers, and he’d do anything to posses it’s secrets… probably to add to the legions of monstrous murderous mutants he keeps in a secret prison. So anyway, John, his girlfriend Sharon (Talia Balsam), a cadre of students, and a devotee of his mother’s work, Melissa Leftridge (Max Headroom‘s Amanda Pays… and yes, I know she was in the ’90s Flash

Have you ever been interested in trying to build something with your own hands and displaying it, or know someone who likes to tinker, there’s a company you may want to consider for the upcoming holiday season! Meet Mecrob, a company that specializes in making metal puzzle models aimed at adult hobbyists. I’m all about mood lighting so when I saw they had a Cyberpunk Spider Lamp, I had to challenge myself! I want to thank Mecrob for helping to make this review possible! It should be noted that Mecrob’s models have difficulty levels, this lamp is at medium difficulty and the most complex thing I’ve ever put together with my hands was legos, so I’ll admit this was a challenge for me but I got it done! The kit came in a small toolbox that housed all the parts in marked bags along with the instructions. Included in the kit to my surprise were a pair of needle-nosed plyers

Lil’ Dougie (Alexander Brickel) loves two things; Satan (thanks to the eponymous video game he constantly plays which features ol’ Scratch) and his gorgeous sister Jenna (Katheryn Winnick)… and neither in a particularly healthy way. Now since Doug hearts Jenna so damn much that when she comes home from college to visit for Halloween with her brand-spankin’ new boyfriend Alex (Stephen Graham) he gets more than a little perturbed… until he meets an ominous man dressed in a grinning devil mask (Joshua Annex) arranging dead bodies as All Hallow’s Eve decorations. Naturally the little fool believes this rando psycho is the real deal come to life from his game, so he brings the murderous wine-guzzlin’, panty sniffin’, middle finger flippin’ monster home and hides him in the basement so he can kill ol’ Alex… and he does… eventually… and a whole mess of other people too! The question is, will our lad Doug realize this isn’t all just a game

HeBGB TV Freaky, frenetic, and fun, HeBGB TV (2022) is a nostalgic blast for anyone who grew up watching horror hosts, Nickelodeon in the nineties, or pretty much television of any kind. If you spent any time at all in front of the electric babysitter, you’ll find plenty to enjoy in this outlandish effort from cowriters/codirectors Eric Griffin, Adam Lenhart, and Jake Mcclellan. A young brother and sister have their night — and lives — suddenly changed when a retro-horror cable TV box comes into their lives unexpectedly. A wacky horror host pops out and takes them on a tube-ular journey filled with mind-blowing wackiness and no small amount of camp. This is not your usual horror anthology, so don’t go in expecting longer-running stories with plots that make sense. HeBGB TV is all about assaulting the senses, twisting the mind, and shooting for laughs — or at least knowing nods with accompanying smiles — as often as possible. The

Happy Halloween Ghouls and Ghoulettes! When you think of Halloween you don’t see yourself spending time at the beach right? Or at a beach out of time…and space? Well, that’s how I spent my Halloween in Broken Pieces. I want to give thanks to Elseware Experience and Freedom Games for the reviewing opportunity. Broken Pieces takes place on the seaside of France in 1993 where players take on the role of Elise, a woman searching for her missing fiance as the world seems to be outside of time and the village she’s in is devoid of life as an event took place resulting in the population going missing and supernatural threats stalk the streets. Now onto the game itself! When it comes to the controls, Broken Pieces thankfully has a tutorial system but the more I played it, it became evident that the game is more suited for mouse and keyboard which makes some interactions and movements awkward. The game’s

Once in a while, I stumble across a movie that is more than just blood and guts and jump scares, one that goes deeper, one that’s not just about entertainment, but that has something to say. That’s the case with writer-director Shana Feste’s Run Sweetheart Run. I want to talk about it. But don’t worry, there won’t be any major spoilers shared here. The plot given in press releases goes like this: “Initially apprehensive when her boss insists she meets with one of his most important clients, single mom Cherie (Ella Balinska) is relieved and excited when she meets charismatic Ethan (Pilou Asbæk). The influential businessman defies expectations and sweeps Cherie off her feet. But at the end of the night, when the two are alone together, he reveals his true, violent nature. Battered and terrified, she flees for her life, beginning a relentless game of cat-and-mouse with a blood-thirsty assailant hell-bent on her utter destruction. In this edge-of-your-seat dark

If there’s one thing about Jens Jørgen Thorsen’s 1970 adaptation of author Henry Miller’s 1956 semi-autobiographical novel Quiet Days in Clichy it’s that it’s light on plot… like lighter than a feather from a rather tiny bird light… and that is very light y’all, dig? The long and the short of it all is this; American writer-type Joey (Paul Valjean) and his euro-roomie Carl (Wayne Rodda) live in an apartment in Clichy in Paris. They are broke and horny, so what follows is a non-narrative debauchery free-for-all involving tons of nudity, un-simulated sex, and dubious choices in sexual partners… all set to the stirring tunes of Country Joe McDonald no less! By changing the setting from the 1930’s of the novel to the recently emerged sexual revolution of late 1960’s era Paris it becomes a natural for presenting the story without as much coherent narrative as one would expect (though the novel itself was no slouch in that department), Thorsen

Fans of the Call of Duty game series were either dreading or looking forward to the latest installment in the franchise, the remake of the 2009 Modern Warfare 2. I’ll admit it’s been a LONG time since I’ve played COD, the last being Black Ops 3, which made me put the controller down on the series as I felt the series was focusing more on online multiplayer fanservicing than single-player campaigns. So, has the series redeemed itself in my eyes? Let’s check out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. I would like to thank Infinity Ward and Treyarch for the reviewing opportunity. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II picks up where the 2019 game left off and follows Taskforce 141, a multi-national special operations group made up of the SAS, CIA, Mexican Special Forces, Russian and American PMCs, and freedom fighters from the fictional country of Urzikstan. 141 is up against an Iranian Quds Force Major seeking vengeance for the

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own. Halloween… seems like a damn solid time to lock my putrid peepers on some new Doo! Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! concerns the misadventures of Coco Diablo, a fashion designer who just so happened to be responsible for all of those freaky-fab monster suits all of those no-goodniks don to commit crimes that are always foiled by the super-sluthin’ of Mystery Inc. Speaking of Fred, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, and Daphne, they are currently a lil’ light on work since the one that provides the monsters of the mysteries they are avowed to solve is cooling her jets behind bars… and you can bet things are going to get even more complicated since our gal Velma has a serious case of the horny’s for that fiendish fashion designer! This results in Fred becoming depressed, Daphne searching

Once there, John decides to take up residence in a massive historical mansion. As the days progress, it becomes clear as a bell that this place is unbelievably haunted as ol’ JR. starts hearing banging in the pipes, water running, the piano playing itself…oh, and there’s that pesky apparition of a damp kid…you know, what you would expect to find in a rental property. Instead of just getting another place to stay, Russell becomes obsessed with the houses original owners…a family that suffered a similar tragedy to his own, not knowing to leave supernatural shit the fuck alone, our steadfast hero hosts a séance which provides him more info on who is sharing the residence with him…and it isn’t pleasant…and manages to make the
